Empowering Underserved Communities: Farmers, Youth & Women.

About Us

History

Our story starts way back, from Kilimo Hakika

What We Do
  1. Farmer-Centric Capacity Building:
    • We develop and deliver localized digital and in-person training programs on Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), safe agrochemical use, digital tools for agriculture, and climate-smart farming systems. Special focus is placed on training women and youth as leaders in agricultural transformation.
  2. Innovation Testing and Knowledge Sharing
    • Through our 14-acre testbed and Knowledge Centre of Excellence, we validate technologies in real farming conditions and document insights to shape policy and practice across the region. We use this to train youths as farm managers to create decent jobs in the agriculture sector.
  3. Aquaculture and the Blue Economy
    • We promote sustainable fish farming and blue economy initiatives by training farmers, piloting integrated aquaculture systems, and supporting access to quality, affordable fish feed, boosting nutrition and incomes in rural communities.
  4. Digital Agriculture for Development
    • We design and deploy inclusive digital platforms (e.g., WhatsApp-based advisory tools) to reach farmers with timely, actionable information and to amplify their voices in innovation processes.
  5. Research, Data, and Policy Influence
    • We collect, analyze, and translate data into insights that inform national and regional agricultural policies, particularly in climate adaptation, food security, and innovation adoption.
